Every year, JDS unveils a limited collection designed to take its customers into a world of magic. Catchafish was given the opportunity to bring that wonder to life visually.

The challenge was simple. But therefore not simple. Because how do you create something fresh and inspiring within the strongly defined context of end-of-year? Without falling into clichés?

PACKAGING DESIGN

The most important thing was to put the consumer at the heart of Jules Destrooper’s story, immersing them in a world of flavourful enchantment. Therefore, we transformed each packaging into an irresistible ‘peekaboo’ experience that draws  the viewer in. Using intricate paper cut-outs, we created a three-dimensional dreamscape. An atmospheric world where Jules Destrooper’s delicious biscuits take center stage. Frivolously placed in enchanting snowy landscapes. Where deer wander among the snowy trees and the landscape is illuminated by the sparkles of the twinkling stars in the sky.

Clichés. But created differently. And brought in a surprisingly new way. Where the magic unfolds with a touch of elegance and wonder, wrapped in shimmering gold foil.

The result is a series of 3 end-of-year limited edition packaging that lets consumers enjoy a magical world. Where stories come to life. And where the brand inspires consumers with eye-catching packaging.
